Story

Two million women worldwide are living with fistula.

An obstetric fistula is a maternal morbidity condition of holes in the walls separating the womans reproductive and excretory systems.

The condition almost always results in the death of the baby and leaves the mother suffering from a range of health problems including chronic incontinence.

Global One's programme, Repairing Hope, improves the lives of women suffering from fistula through treatment and awareness raising. Global One provides treatment for fistula to women in impoverished communities in Kenya and Nigeria that would otherwise not have access to treatment.

Global One is also providing medical workshops for local healthcare professionals in fistula relief surgery.

Your donations can directly alleviate one womans struggling. Funding will also support crucial training to raise awareness of the causes and treatment of fistula, delivered both to the community and medical professionals.

£400 can provide all of the treatment and medication needed for a woman suffering from fistula.
