Story

Cycle The Salt Ride

From the 17th to the 22nd of December 2019, Go Dharmic will cycle 240 miles from Ahmedabad to Dandhi. Following the famous route Gandhi led dozens of his followers on, known as The Salt March.

The Salt March, also known as the Dandi March or the Salt Satyagraha, began on March 12, 1930, near Gandhis retreat in Sabarmati Ashram, and proceeded some 240 miles southward over 24 days toward the coastal village of Dandi, where a crowd of thousands watched as Gandhi and his followers deliberately broke the law by evaporating seawater to make their own salt.

Our cyclists will be cycling from 40 to 90 km per day, and will stop off at some of the most historic locations to rest and spread the Go Dharmic message. They will be promoting our message which is make changes in ones lifestyle and habits in order to help save our planet! One of our most recent campaigns is 'Give it a Grow' where we are funding tree planting worldwide, as well as planning to plant our own trees in the near future. We also encourage people to use less single use plastics, as the negative impacts of this are becoming increasingly noticable.

Join us on the 17th of December 2019 to raise awareness for the vast array of issues facing our environment by riding the route of Mahatma Gandhi's famous salt march.

Together we can make a stand for our planet and raise funds for Go Dharmic and its campaigns.
