Citizens Advice Rushmoor is hosting 'Go the Extra Mile' on Sunday 14th May 2023 - a sponsored walk around and along the beautiful Wellesley Woodlands to raise money to support the fantastic work of our charity. Starting at the Wellington Statue, you are invited to join us with your friends and family for a walk of approximately 5 (+1!) miles.
Each year Citizens Advice Rushmoor helps over 10,000 local people with issues including debt, housing, benefit and employment. Due to the current cost of living crisis, demand for our service has never been greater. Your support will be vital in helping us reach even more people.
As well as raising vital funds to support our work across the area, 'Go The Extra Mile' is also an opportunity for the local community to found out more about our work and enjoy active, outdoor event to improve health and well-being.
These extra funds could help us in many ways, for example:
£10 could help us ensure a family has access to food and other vital support ;
£25 could help someone access the benefits they need to stay warm this winter.
£50 could help us keep answering urgent calls from people in crisis
£100 could help us work with a struggling family so they don't lose their home
Registration costs £10 for individuals or £20 for families, unwaged £5. This is an inclusive event where everyone is welcome so, if the cost is stopping you registering, please email info@citizensadvicerushmoor.org.uk and we can arrange an alternative.
After registering, we'll come back to you with further details about how you can raise sponsorship, a detailed map of the route etc.
