Story

💚 About Our Cause

For nearly 25 years, Great Oaks Hospice has been at the heart of the Forest of Dean community — providing compassionate end-of-life care in people’s homes, and supporting those living with life-limiting illnesses, along with their families, carers, and loved ones.

Every year, our services reach over 1,200 people, offering comfort, dignity, and vital support when it’s needed most.

🌊 Why We’re Fundraising

The need for hospice care in our community continues to grow — from end-of-life care and support to live well, to helping carers and providing bereavement support.

At Great Oaks, we are committed to being there for everyone who needs us. But we can only do that thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, volunteers, and community.

It costs almost £1 million every year to keep our hospice running — and every single donation makes a real difference.

By supporting our swimmers and our Swimathon, you are helping us continue to care, support, and be there for local people when they need it most.

Together, we can keep caring 💚
