By giving to the National Garden Scheme, you’re supporting some of the UK's best-loved nursing & health charities. Making a donation is a wonderful way to support our work or remember someone who loved visiting National Garden Scheme gardens or gardening. In 2024, together we donated £3.5 million.

Story

The National Garden Scheme has been raising funds for vital nursing and health charities for almost 100 years. Thanks to the wonderful generosity of garden owners, volunteers, visitors and our Great British Garden Party hosts, we made a record donation of £3.9 million in 2025. As the single largest funder of Marie Curie's work, the longest standing partner of Macmillan Cancer Support and a key funder for Hospice UK, Carers Trust, Parkinson's UK and the Queen's Institute of Community Nursing, our ongoing donations have a significant impact on their operations.

And now we are asking everyone to get involved, to gather friends, family or neighbours for a garden get-together and join our Great British Garden Party. An opportunity to combine our shared love of nature and outdoor spaces with the joy of spending time with others, whilst raising funds for some great causes. A perfect combination!

Whether you've signed up and organised your own fundraising event or are simply donating to the cause your donation will make a real difference and every penny counts. So thank you for your generous support.
