ActionAid is an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty.

We put the rights of women and girls at the heart of all we do, because the denial of these rights is one of the biggest causes of poverty worldwide, and a grave injustice. In partnership with local communities, women's networks, and other allies, we address the structural causes and consequences of gender inequality and poverty.

Our three main areas of work are ending violence against women and girls, promoting women’s economic empowerment, and prioritising women’s rights and leadership during humanitarian emergencies.
