Story

At Hayle Surf Life Saving Club, we’re proud to be growing faster than ever — with over 200 young members training every week to become the next generation of Cornwall’s lifeguards. These incredible children and young adults dedicate countless hours to learning vital lifesaving and water safety skills, developing the strength, confidence, and teamwork that define our coastal community.

To keep them safe and ensure their training remains world-class, we urgently need a new Inshore Rescue Boat (IRB). Our IRBs are at the heart of everything we do — from lifeguard training and flood rescue readiness, to providing safety cover at community and sporting events across Cornwall.

But after years of service, our current rescue boat fleet is reaching the end of its life. Without a new reliable IRB, our ability to train, respond, and support the next generation of lifesavers is at risk.

Your support will help us:

Equip our growing youth membership with the tools they need to train safely and effectively.

Continue developing skilled young people who go on to serve as professional lifeguards across Cornwall.

Maintain our readiness to assist in flood response and local water safety events.

Every donation — big or small — brings us closer to launching our new Inshore Rescue Boat and securing the future of lifesaving in Hayle.

💙 Help us keep our beaches safe, our young people inspired, and our community afloat.
