Story
Helping people stay connected, confident and included
Across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, people living with hearing loss face daily challenges. Conversations can become difficult, social situations overwhelming, and many people begin to lose confidence when out and about. Over time, this can lead to isolation and loneliness.
Community Resource delivers a Hearing Loss Support Service that helps change this.
Through 13 local hearing loss hubs, along with home and care home visits, people can access practical help, clear advice and friendly reassurance close to where they live. Whether it is maintaining hearing aids, finding better ways to communicate, or simply feeling heard and understood, this support makes a real difference.
This work is made possible by a team of dedicated volunteers who give their time to help others stay independent and connected to their communities.
