Help for Children (HFC) is a charity supported by the alternative investment sector across the globe. HFC raises much needed funds to combat child maltreatment in every form around the world, where it is estimated that 1 billion children suffer some form of violence or abuse every year. HFC globally has raised over $58M since inception and touched more that 1 million childrens lives. We are determined to continue the work that we do alongside academics, social welfare experts and charities to protect children from harm.
This year, Help For Children UK is has created a bespoke challenge: to collectively run 3,492 kms. #3492 is the number of vulnerable children in the UK that have been helped so far.
Volunteers will be training from February with all their KMs contributing to the target of #3492 with a final half marathon on Sunday, 10th May 2025 at the beautiful Denbies wine estate in Surrey. The course is a 5km loop with some elevation but nothing compared to previous HFC challenges! At the end there will be medals and a huge sense of team effort to celebrate. Food and beverage on site. Spectators welcome.
The challenge is for all levels and will be supported by a qualified Personal Trainer to provide helpful training tips, advice, weekly goals and voluntary group sessions.
All participants will be provided with a bespoke KMs For Kids info pack. For further information about the campaign and event, please contact fgray@hfc.org.
Those taking part are all members of the finance industry who truly believe the work HFC does is worthwhile and so have agreed to take part this extraordinary challenge.
