The Brightwell needs your support .
In these unprecedented and scary times, we are determined to continue to support our vulnerable members living with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
The health and wellbeing of our Centre Users is always our number one priority. However, current social distancing advice is impacting the Centre greatly and has halted many forms of income generation activities. Community fundraising and planned events have been cancelled or postponed and member contributions towards treatments has dramatically declined.
Our Centre Users rely on our therapies and treatments in order to deal with the unpleasant and life altering symptoms of neurological conditions. In addition, they face many barriers to social inclusion, and our Centre is a home from home where they can always find a friendly face.
That is why we are asking for your support now. We want to ensure the financial sustainability of our Centre through these uncertain times to so that we can continue to provide the high level of service that our 400 members depend upon.
There is no other facility like ours in South Gloucestershire, Bristol, BANES and North Somerset. Therefore, it is crucial that we continue supporting our members physical, social and mental well-being , now more than ever.
In the event that Centre has to close temporarily, we will continue to support our members and their families who have gone into self-isolation. We will be doing this through telephone and online contact; delivering essential food and medical supplies. We also plan to live stream exercise sessions and offer support with benefits advice and signposting of our support services.
We urgently need to plug the funding gap caused by the recent events. We will, of course be working hard and creatively to find alternative ways of income generation, and we will continue to approach Trusts and seek donations. However, this will likely not be enough.
We are asking for your help to enable us to continue to provide vital support our community affected by these devastating conditions. We are launching an appeal today......
