Support our Learning Programme - Herd In The City

We believe art should be accessible to everyone. Can you help make that happen for local community groups in your neighbourhood this summer?

Herd In The City will see 45 large elephant sculptures dotted around the City of Southend-on-Sea this summer, including Shoeburyness and Leigh-on-Sea, each sponsored by a local business and painted by a professional artist in varying styles.
Accompanying these majestic sculptures will be mini herds of baby elephants, adopted and decorated by community groups, empowering children and young people whilst making art accessible to all. Unfortunately, due to financial restrictions, we have four groups that would love to be a part of the trail but are not able to, including nurseries, support and theatre groups for young people. This is where we hope you can help by supporting us to raise the £3,960 needed to cover the cost of four baby elephant sculptures.
By donating to this cause, you will provide several children and young people with a unique experience, allowing them to contribute to the local community and create a lasting legacy.
Thank you.
