Together with local partners and country offices, we’re working in the world’s poorest countries to tackle the root causes of poverty and respond in emergencies, disasters and conflicts.

Story

Thank you for signing up for our sponsored Hike For Yemen on 12th December 2020 to help raise funds to provide emergency relief to the suffering people of Yemen, who are facing the worst famine the world has seen in 100 years.

Thousands have already died of hunger and more than half the country are relying on humanitarian aid to survive. Children are especially vulnerable, with a child dying from preventable causes every 10 minutes.

Muslim Hands are on the ground distributing food parcels and providing life-saving medical care. But we need your support to reach those in desperate need.

How your fundraising will make a difference:

£100 will provide an emergency food parcel for a family of six. Our food parcels will give victims of what the UN calls, the worlds largest humanitarian crisis, the essential food they need to survive.

A typical food pack includes: rice, sugar, cooking oil, lentils, flour and milk.

Each food parcel will provide enough food for one family for a whole month.

£350 will run Al-Kawd Health Centre for one day, which serves up to 90 people a day, mainly children. In addition to medical consultations, treatment, medicines and emergency care, it also provides nutrition and immunisation services to children, pregnant women and new mothers, as well as a midwife.

Are you ready to get fundraising to help our brothers and sisters in need of our help? If yes, then create your JustGiving Page and start encouraging people to sponsor you!

We are asking all our fundraisers to raise £200 which will provide two starving families with one monthly emergency food parcels.

By supporting this campaign, YOU are not only providing food and medical aid to support the blessed people in Yemen, YOU are empowering them with strength, resilience and hope to help them rebuild their lives after years of war and conflict
