As you may know, since 2014, war has destroyed Yemen's public infrastructure and services, like hospitals, schools and shops and blocked access to basic supplies, including food, water and access to medical aid, as well as forcing 3.6 million people from their homes.

Currently over 20 million people are suffering from hunger and malnutrition - that's two-thirds of all Yemeni's. Nearly half do not know when they will next eat - the country has the highest rate of child malnutrition in the world. 

In order to do something to help, I am hiking 5 miles along the Hastings coastline to raise money for food, medicines and the digging and maintenance of water wells. Owing to Covid restrictions we are not able to hike for further however we hope that the distance will not dissuade sponsors, we’ll still be going up and down some pretty steep and tough terrain!
