Story

On Saturday 9th November 2024, experience the truly unique feeling of abseiling from the rafters of the Holte End Stand, giving you an entirely new, and quite frankly breathtaking, view of Villa Park. This event allows you to face your fears whilst also supporting two incredible causes – Acorns Children’s Hospice and the Aston Villa Foundation.

This event is being run in partnership by the Aston Villa Foundation and Acorns Children’s Hospice, with proceeds raised from the event being split equally between the two beneficiaries.

Feeling a little nervous? Don’t worry, the abseil will be conducted by Redpoint Climbing Centre, Birmingham, who will be bringing along their highly experienced team to guide you at every step of the way, and ensure your safety throughout.

Registration costs just £30, with a minimum fundraising pledge per abseiler of £150.

The abseil is open to participants aged 16 and over. There is no maximum weight limit, but there is a maximum waist measurement of 150cm / 59″ and thigh measurement of 90cm / 35″.

Participants will receive a certificate, a photograph of their experience to share with friends and family. Other prizes will also be available for our top fundraisers!
