At just 3 years old, Henry was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer that poses immense challenges. His family faced the heart-wrenching reality of relocating from Plymouth to Bristol for nearly 18 months of intense treatment. Inspired by their journey, the Hallam family established Hugs From Henry in 2015, a charity dedicated to supporting families who find themselves on a similar path.

Hugs From Henry offers vital peer-to-peer support, connecting families who share these experiences. Our private respite center, Henry's Hideout, located in Cornwall, provides a peaceful sanctuary where families can escape the hospital environment, create cherished memories, and enjoy quality time together. This haven is open to all families with children battling cancer.

In addition to our respite home, we organize away days and coffee mornings, fostering community and emotional support. During the Covid pandemic, we stepped up to help those in need by delivering food parcels and cooked meals to families and hospitals, ensuring no one felt alone during such a difficult time.
