The Impetus Triathlon is a highlight of the private equity, legal and associated industries’ calendar, bringing the sectors together for a sporting challenge in support of an important cause. 

The event raises money for Impetus’ vital work: transforming the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds across the UK by helping them to succeed in school, work and life. 

We do this by working closely with and funding a portfolio of 25 exceptional charities, each working with young people in their own way, either by supporting them in education or by helping them to find work. Each charity has its own unique programme and works with the young people who most need their support to nurture and help them to succeed. Whether it’s through tutoring, sport, skills workshops or oracy training, we know that our charities’ methods work and have the data to prove it.

Young people like Marley, whose life was transformed by the support of Career Ready. Through after-school sessions and mentoring, Marley gained the confidence and skills to secure a paid internship as a business analyst. Now, years later, he serves on the charity's Youth Advisory Board and reflecting on the profound impact Career Ready has had on his life told us:
