Story
In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful
"Successful indeed are the believers, Those who offer their prayers with all solemnity and full submissiveness, And those who turn away from evil vain talk, And those who pay Zakat"
Allah (SWT) chose the orphan Mohammad (PBUH) as his holy messenger. Orphans had a special place in the prophet's heart.
Thousands of Iraqi children have been orphaned through wars, sanctions, and ongoing turmoil in Iraq. Most of these children have not known any other life than the poor situation they are in.
Ramadan is a time of giving, sharing, and maximising on good deeds. Every year during the holy month of Ramadan the volunteers at the Iraqi Orphan Foundation work hard to collect Zakat al-Fitr monies so we can share the Eid celebrations with these children. Please help us in getting the Zakat to them so they celebrate with us on the day of Eid. The Prophet (PBUH) requested that Zakat al-Fitr reaches the needy before Eid prayers.
No celebration can be complete if we forget the orphans and those in need.
Zakat al-Firt is between £4 to £6 per person in each household.
