Story

Support Jamia Al-Hudaa This Ramadan

UPDATE 10.03.2026 - Skylights have been installed - please see skylight photos attached for phase 1 project.

Jamia Al-Hudaa (Nottingham) was established in 1996 as the first girls’ residential Darul Uloom in the Midlands. For nearly three decades, it has been nurturing young Muslim women through the Aalimah programme, with graduates now serving communities across the UK and Europe.

This work continues only through the mercy of Allah ﷻ and the generosity of the Muslim community.

Jamia operates primarily through parental contributions, in line with our policy of keeping contributions as accessible and affordable as possible for Muslim families. We are not a profit-driven institution; rather, we strive to balance sustainability with accessibility so that Islamic education remains within reach for all.

In recent years, legislative and economic changes, alongside rising operational costs and the financial pressures facing many families, have placed increasing strain on the institution.

At the same time, essential infrastructure works are required to maintain a safe and suitable environment for our students.

Phase 1 of the urgent roof repairs is now nearing completion, with approximately £60,000 committed to these works. Final elements are currently being completed.

In addition, a full boiler replacement — estimated at approximately £115,000 — is now necessary to ensure the building remains warm, safe, and fully operational.

We are therefore seeking community support to help bridge this gap and secure the stability of the institution for the future.

Your contribution is a form of Sadaqah Jaariyah — a continuous charity that supports the education and tarbiyah of future scholars, teachers, mothers, and community leaders.

If even a small percentage of our wider community were to contribute £10 or more, it would make a transformative difference.
