Story
Across the UK, young people are facing unprecedented challenges.
Persistent school absence, rising mental health concerns, and a lack of belonging are leaving many disconnected from education and their future.
• Over 1 in 4 secondary pupils were persistently absent last year
• More than 9,000 young people were permanently excluded from school
• Youth unemployment is at an 11 year high
Jamie’s Farm is working to be part of the solution.
Through farm based programmes, young people experience purposeful work, strong relationships, and the space to reflect. On the farm, they reconnect with themselves, with others, and with their potential.
I’ve learned about myself that I can do anything I put my mind to and I can believe in myself.” Young person
