Story
I have been so impressed by the work Jamie’s Farm is doing for young people and this inspired me to step up to the challenge for a worthy cause at the ripe old age of 57.
I was lucky enough to work with racehorses in the eighties with many early mornings and some very cold ones too but can honestly say I loved every moment.
This Charity resonates with me because I was once a shy young lad working with racehorses on a farm and I know this experience played a big part in who I am today.
For this challenge I will join a group of passionate amateur riders with some ex professionals and we will race 1 mile 4 furlongs at Chepstow - pushing ourselves by training hard, fundraising with determination, and facing the pressure of race day head on - all to raise funds for Jamie’s Farm.
Stormzy is the horse I am racing and I have been riding him out on the gallops at Nick Gifford’s in preparation for the race, a big thank you to Nick and his team.
I am so grateful to the Megson family for allowing me to ride their amazing horse, he’s such a legend and a delight to ride. I cannot thank them enough!
