We at The Jumbulance Trust aim to transform accessible transport and create unforgettable experiences for all who travel with us.
We have two fully accessible coaches, called Jumbulances, that can accommodate multiple wheelchairs, beds, and medical equipment. They feature lift access, accessible toilet, hoist facilities, privacy curtains for changing and a galley kitchen for hot meals on those longer journeys.
Fundraising: We raise funds to subsidise costs, making much-needed breaks more affordable.
Volunteering: We provide dedicated volunteers to assist those who may need support to go on holiday.
Travel support: We organise and facilitate travel for groups of all ages, from destinations within the UK to as far as Europe.
Jumbulance Trips: We run our own Jumbulance trips, ensuring that individuals who might feel isolated due to a lack of travel and support options still have the opportunity to get away and enjoy a holiday.
"This is no ordinary coach. It's a lifeline. We never thought we'd be able to take our son abroad. On the Jumbulance he could choose to sit in his wheelchair or relax in a bed. We could change him, do some stretches, feed him and do his long list of medications without worrying. There was suction and oxygen available .. We met with a handshake, we left with a hug. Thank you so much for giving our little family a memory we'll keep for always.''
“Travelling by Jumbulance allows me to do things I wouldn’t, and couldn’t, normally do on my own. Because of the unreliability of trains, and the fact that I can’t get on board an ordinary coach, life can just stop. With a Jumbulance, the ease is there. I would not be more comfortable in a Rolls Royce!”
“I went alone on a Holiday to Holland, and we travelled on a Jumbulance coach to get there. I was a bit worried and anxious about leaving my house and family, and about meeting new people beforehand. But the journey itself was very comfortable, and I didn’t have anything to worry about! The other travellers were very friendly, which is my best memory of the trip. I would tell anyone thinking of going on a holiday using a Jumbulance coach, to go for it and enjoy it!”
