Story
Every Goal Counts. Every Kilometer Matters.
If you know me, you'll know that taking on a challenge like this is well outside my comfort zone.
To raise money for Akwaaba Volunteers, a charity that means a great deal to the PASS team and me personally, I've committed to running 1 kilometre for every goal scored during the FIFA World Cup.
When I signed up, I knew it would be tough. What I didn't know was just how quickly the goals — and the kilometres — would add up! Since the tournament started, I've already run 134 kilometers, and there's still plenty of football left to be played.
Every kilometer is a reminder of why I'm doing this.
Akwaaba Volunteers uses the power of sport and education to transform the lives of less privileged children in Ghana. Through access to education, nutritious meals, sporting opportunities and community support, they help young people build brighter futures and reach their potential.
The impact your donation can make is incredible:
£5 can provide lunch for 5 children at school, helping them stay healthy, focused and ready to learn.
£250 can fund a child's education for an entire year, giving them opportunities that can change the course of their life.
While the kilometers are challenging, they are nothing compared to the challenges many of these children face every day. That's why I'm asking for your support.
Whether you can donate £5, £25, £50 or more, every contribution will help Akwaaba continue its life-changing work. Your donation will not only support children in Ghana but will also give me that extra motivation to keep putting one foot in front of the other as the goals — and the kilometers — continue to rise.
Thank you for supporting me, this challenge, and most importantly, the incredible young people whose lives your generosity will help change.
Please donate if you can. Every goal counts. Every kilometer matters.
