Story
The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is a dedicated Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for the communities of Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire.
The charity, receives no direct Government or National Lottery funding and is totally reliant on donations from individuals, businesses and organisations to keep the helicopter flying.
Its not only the speed the helicopter can get a patient to hospital, its the high level of pre-hospital critical care the highly skilled crew - doctor and 2 paramedics can provide which gives the most critically ill & injured patients the best chance of survival. It transports the equivalent of an A&E department to the scene of an incident or accident. At a time when every second counts, the arrival of the iconic yellow helicopter really can mean the difference between life and death.
This year is the charitys 25th anniversary and since 1994 the crew have attended over 20,000 potentially life-saving missions, making a difference to many family lives.
