We are a charity run by people with hearing impairments. We understand the issues that come along with hearing loss. They are social isolation, depression and even dementia.
In the UK, 1 in 6 adults suffer from hearing loss, and this is only set to increase. We provide lipreading classes to enable hearing impaired adults to function in a hearing world.
But the classes provide much more than that. We offer a safe social environment for people to meet and make friends with peers who understand the issues they face.
We offer advice and guidance on the latest technologies to assist with hearing loss, such as hearing aids, alarms, doorbells and much more.
Our classes also incude fun cognitive actvities that keep the brain active and help to ward off things such as dementia. We cannot express just how much help and support our classes provide.
