‘20 in 26’ – Help Pro Boxer Lewis Williams Raise £20,000 in aid of The Myton Hospices

Campaign by The Myton Hospices

I'm immensely proud to be a Myton Ambassador. Since Myton came into our lives, I’ve wanted to champion their incredible work. My goal is to raise £1 million for Myton and I will stop at nothing to do it – it’s an honour to give back.

We support thousands of people living with terminal illnesses & their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home. We need to raise £12.7 million this year to provide our services free of charge – we can’t do it without you!

Story

Last year, with your incredible support, we raised £20,823 through my ‘20 in 25’ challenge. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more. So in 2026, we go again!

I’m launching ‘20 in 26’ – a new challenge to raise £20,000 for The Myton Hospices as part of my long-term pledge to raise £1 million for Myton throughout my career.

And I would love you to be part of it.

Why this means so much to me...

In late 2023, Myton at Home cared for my dad in the final month of his life.

They came three times a day. They treated him with dignity. They supported my mum, my sister and me through the hardest time we’ve ever faced. They were honest with me when time was running out. Because of that, I made the decision to stay home and be with Dad instead of competing.

I will only ever get one dad. And because of Myton, I got to be there when it mattered most.

Dad died in January 2024, surrounded by his family. It was heartbreaking. But it was peaceful. And that is something I will always be grateful for.

The care they gave him, and us, was incredible. They have hearts of gold.

That’s why I became a Volunteer Ambassador for The Myton Hospices. And that’s why I’m committed to raising £1 million for them over my career.

Every year, Myton supports over 2,000 people and their families across Coventry and Warwickshire.

They provide specialist hospice care at home, in their Inpatient Units in Warwick and Coventry, and through their Wellbeing Services.

They are not the NHS. They are a charity.

This year alone, they need to raise £12.7 million of the £15.3 million it costs to keep their services running free of charge.

Like many hospices across the UK, they are under huge financial pressure.

The £20,000 target for ‘20 in 26’ could fund a hospice bed for 45 days. That’s 45 days of comfort, dignity and expert care for patients and their families at the most difficult time of their lives.

That is what we are fighting for.

How you can help...

If you supported ‘20 in 25’, thank you. You helped raise over £20,000 and made a real difference.

Now we go again.

Whether you donate £5 or £500, share this page, attend an event, or simply spread the word, you are helping families spend precious time together when time is running out.

My family was lucky enough to experience the very best of what Myton offers.

If I can help more families access that same care, then I know I’m doing something right.

Let’s make ‘20 in 26’ even bigger.

Thank you for your support.

Lewis ❤️
