Little Badgers Pre-School new building

Little Badgers pre-school has been running on the Badger Hill Primary School site since 2011. The pre-school provides warm and caring childcare in an stimulating educational environment where children are encouraged to learn through play. We predominantly cover the areas of Badger Hill, Osbaldwick, Hull Road and Heslington. We have very close links with the Primary School, but are an independent committee run pre-school with charity status. Half the school pupils started out at Little Badgers and class the pre-school as part of the school.

Recently Badger Hill Primary School received funding from the government to renew their school building, which is well under way being built and will be ready in September. We currently rent a room in the school, but in the new school there won't be any room available for us to rent. Instead we have an exciting opportunity to build our own building in the school grounds. This is where the fundraising comes in.

Over the years we have saved some money ourselves, but we are quite a long way short of the total that we need for the new building. We have until December 2019 to raise the funds needed as we are planning on having the new building in place by January 2020. To raise the funds we will be holding many fundraising events such as raffles, bake sales, pig racing and the Yorkshire 3 peaks walk. We will also be applying for some grant funding to try and reach our target. If you can spare a little cash we would be very grateful for your donation as every little helps.
