Story

Mental Health Awareness week is on 9th-15th May 2022. This year's theme is 'Loneliness'

Loneliness is affecting more and more of us. It has had a huge impact on our physical and mental health particularly during the pandemic.

Our connection to other people and our community is fundamental to protecting our mental health and we need to find better ways of tackling this epidemic of loneliness. We can all play a part in this.

Live at Home is a charity that has worked to combat those experiencing loneliness and isolation for the last 24 years on the Isle of Man. We provide support for those who may have lost community connections. We want to do more to help build resilience, confidence and independence. We use low level, preventative activities, groups, events, befriending and support to do this. We are developing our support to include more people but in different ways.

Fundraising has been critically impacted over the last two years. Our income has decreased by 53% over this time and we need support to enable us to continue helping others to help themselves.

We would appreciate support in any amount. Wearing green on the 13th and making a donation to this campaign helps enormously and helps raise the profile of why we do, what we do.
