The Children’s Book Project is a lean, volunteer-powered charity that understands the enormous power that reading has in shaping children’s lives. We believe that every child deserves access to a world full of words and stories, sparking imagination and curiosity, building communication and emotional skills and helping to transform future life chances.

We collect new and lightly used books from families and publishers and gift them onwards to children growing up in poverty, often with very few or none of their own. We have seen first hand how giving children access to books makes amazing things happen; vocabularies profoundly expand, empathy grows, imaginations are ignited and children learn!

To date, we have gifted 1.5 million books nationwide.

All funds raised as part of this campaign will support our work to eradicate children's book poverty.
