Story

We are delighted to have an amazing team of runners taking part in this years iconic TSC London Marathon on October 2nd and are hoping to raise £15,000 to care and support people living with HIV in Sussex.

The Sussex Beacon is celebrating its 30th anniversary year in 2022.

Founded in 1992 as a hospice to care for people with HIV/AIDs today we are here for people living with HIV. Changes in medication and disease management now mean that many people do not find their positive status an issue, however, for some, usually the most vulnerable, living with HIV is still a constant challenge. They may have been diagnosed late or before anti-retroviral treatments were widely available. They may have co-existing physical conditions, such as cancer, dementia, or diabetes. They may also have mental health conditions or needs relating to the prejudice, social isolation and stigmatisation that a positive diagnosis can bring.

Your support is immensely appreciated and will ensure we can provide specialist care and support for people living with HIV for the next 30 years !

Thank you!
