Holy Trinity church has a critical role to play in supporting our 4,000-strong community. Built by villagers 175 years ago, the church is used by over 2,500 visitors each year for worship, fellowship and support. But the building is now woefully ill-equipped to support a modern day community and desperately needs updating to save it from terminal decline.

Our village needs a hub: an open, welcoming, accessible venue for fun, friendship and pastoral support for the whole community. But the church is currently a cold, dark space without even the most basic of facilities: no toilet, poor disabled access and no catering facilities.

With your support, we can transform this area of the church to create a fully accessible, inviting hub that the whole community can benefit from:

Level access will be created so that everyone can fully access the new social space, which will house two wooden pods: one a discreet, sound proof and accessible toilet, the other a small kitchen. Informal seating and tables will be added, along with a childrens zone, whilst some of the hard, fixed pews will be replaced with comfortable chairs to allow friendlier communication and wider, more imaginative use of the building, bringing the church into the 21st century.

The new facilities will improve the experience for everyone, enabling us to reach out to more people and offer new events and activities to support and strengthen our community.
