Our diverse student body is what makes our community so special. Each year, your support funds our LSHTM Fund Scholars, enabling exceptional students to study at our School.

We receive thousands of applications every year, with funding only available to support a small number. Without support, many brilliant students like this year's LSHTM Fund Scholars, Benedicta An-Mwaaba (MSc Demography and Heath) and Therese Nzayisenga (MSc Climate Change & Planetary Health) and would not have been able to study with us.

Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide. We are committed to helping create a more healthy, sustainable and equitable world for everyone, because we believe our shared future depends on our shared health.

We have around 3,500 staff based all around the world with core hubs in London and at the MRC Units in The Gambia and Uganda. From informing responses to COVID-19 to tackling health misinformation and the growing health effects of climate change, we're working to address today’s most urgent challenges.
