Organised by Barnstaple Pilot Gig ClubSeveral Barnstaple Pilot Gig Club rowers are going to row marathons on indoor rowing machines. that's 42,195 metres, or 26.219 miles! We will be doing this at the same time as Barnstaple running marathon; 30th September 2018. please sponsor us!

Visit the charity's profileBarnstaple Pilot Gig Club are fundraising so we can move into a new home on the Banks of the River Taw. While brainstorming ideas, some of the Men's A crew had the notion of rowing a marathon on an indoor rowing machine!
This idea has become a reality and we'll be getting on the machine on the 30th September and not getting off until we've rowed 42,195 metres!
This date is also Barnstaple running marathon and we have teamed up with them to set up by the start line, so we can be inspired by the runners, and hopefully they will be inspired by us too.
