Barnstaple Pilot Gig Club are fundraising so we can move into a new home on the Banks of the River Taw. While brainstorming ideas, some of the Men's A crew had the notion of rowing a marathon on an indoor rowing machine!This idea has become a reality and we'll be getting on the machine on the 30th September and not getting off until we've rowed 42,195 metres! This date is also Barnstaple running marathon and we have teamed up with them to set up by the start line, so we can be inspired by the runners, and hopefully they will be inspired by us too.

As part of the BPGC marathon row I am planning to run the Barnstaple half marathon, followed by joining other members of the club on their marathon row with a half marathon row (on a rowing machine) of my own.
