Story

The donations you made in the 2022 Marley's Aart 8KM Memory Walk has made a difference.

In May 2023 we funded a Mental Health Awareness Workshop hosted by CHUMS for young people and their parents and together we made a difference. Feedback from one of the parents who attended with their young person.

"The art therapy session was amazing, he has never opened up about his emotions so much. Also the adult session, so many helpful strategies. I have done all the online calls offered but this helped the most. Really useful" The mum of one of the young people

Providing Art Therapy funded by Marley's Aart at Queensbury has given me an insight into how high the needs of young people are, particularly in secondary schools. Although challenging at times, it has been so rewarding to be able to provide young people with a safe space to explore and express themselves creatively" Art Therapist Rochelle Moore

About the charity

Not every young person with mental health issues wants to talk, we believe that young people who suffer from mental health issues such as social and anxiety disorders should have access to a different type of therapy to help them cope with their issues. Our focus is to raise funds to organisations who can offer Art Therapy for young people who will benefit from this form of therapy. We raise funds to commission organisations who have the expertise to offer Art Therapy for a length of time outside the standard six to eight sessions. We also support schools in offering Art After school Club for children not interested in sports.
