For the past 25 years, MediCinema has delivered over 300,000 cinema experiences to NHS patients in hospitals across the UK. It is our mission to reach thousands more by building more in-hospital cinemas in more NHS Trusts.​

We’re proud that our service is free for patients and comes at no cost to the NHS. With no government funding, we rely on the generous support of people, like you, to help us to improve the mental health of thousands of patients through the power of cinema.

What Your Support Helps

Being in hospital can be scary, lonely, and overwhelming – especially for children, mental health patients, and people in palliative care. Anxiety, depression and isolation affect 1 in 4 patients. MediCinema offers a rare escape. When the lights dim and a film begins, something shifts. Patients become people again – not defined by illness or pain, but immersed in story, laughter, and shared connection.
