Story
Join us in remembering the tiny lives lost to miscarriage, ectopic and molar pregnancy with our Memory Walk fundraiser.
On Sunday 12 October – during Baby Loss Awareness Week – set out with loved ones and walk 4 miles at 4 pm, to remember the 1 in 4 pregnancies that end in loss.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Register for the event – you can do this by click the orange ‘Start fundraising’ button on this page, and letting it take you through the process of set up.
- Gather your team – we recommend getting together with friends, colleagues or loved ones for this event. It can help you feel supported, start valuable conversations, and raise even more awareness of the impact of pregnancy loss.
- Spread the word – let your friends, family, workplace and local community know you’re taking part, along with your story and a bit about the work we do, along with your fundraising page, so you can collect those donations.
- Once you’ve raised £10 on your team, you’ll receive a link to order your special memory walk t shirt (and beanie hat?). Wearing these t shirts help people going through loss find our support when they need it most.
- Take part and remember, together – join people across the UK by wearing your t shirts to walk 4 miles at 4pm on Sunday 12 October.
- Capture the memories made – we love to see photos from our Memory Walkers and their teams. These pictures help us encourage others to get involved, both in other Baby Loss Awareness Week activities, and in future Memory Walks.
However recent or long ago your loss was, the Memory Walk is a special way to remember, reflect, and honour your baby’s memory, either individually or with friends and family.
To help you feel part of a wider community for our Memory Walk, we will also be adding each fundraiser to a map of the UK, so you can see where your fellow walkers are.
