Men’s Walk is Going for the £Million Milestone!

Over the past 14 years, Men’s Walk has raised £935,000 for Hospiscare. That phenomenal amount is testament to the determination and generosity of not only our incredible walkers, but to the family, friends and colleagues who have supported their outstanding efforts.

Men’s Walk is proof that Hospiscare matters to our community. Without your support, Hospiscare couldn’t have grown into the charity it is today – and we simply couldn’t provide our services. You’ve enabled us to be there for thousands of local patients and their families during some of the most difficult times.

And we need you to stand with us now.

Despite Hospiscare’s Outstanding rating, the difference we make and the fact end-of-life care matters to our community, Devon’s Integrated Care Board provide just 15% of our funding, compared to a national average of 27%.

We know it’s been a hard year for many people – and Hospiscare is facing its own challenges. The financial strain on our services and the lack of equitable funding from the Devon Integrated Care Board resulted in our having to reduce the number of beds on our specialist ward from 12 to 8.

So this year, on 15 March, we’re asking you to dig deep for your local hospice once more. Help us reach that £1million mark so we can continue to deliver our expert end-of-life and palliative care.
