Story
This October, during Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, we're inviting you to take part in Miles of Hope, our month-long virtual fundraising challenge.
Just click the orange Start Fundraising button to set up your own personal fundraising page!
Complete 43.8 miles throughout October, to represent the 43,800 women in Kent affected by domestic abuse last year, whilst raising £43.80 to support Rising Sun's life-changing work.
The challenge is flexible and inclusive. Whether you choose to walk, run, or move in another way, you can complete the miles at a pace that suits you.
As a participant, you’ll receive:
* A free certificate upon completion of the challenge
* A Rising Sun Badge if you reach the £43.80 milestone.
* Fundraising stewardship throughout the month
* Access to our supportive private Facebook community and Strava group.
Wherever you are taking part, you will be part of our mission to provide safe futures for survivors of domestic abuse in east Kent.
By taking part in Miles of Hope, you'll be helping adults, children and families affected by domestic abuse access specialist support, practical advice and life-changing services. Your fundraising could help provide:
* Specialist support for survivors of domestic abuse
* Services for children and young people affected by abuse
* Safe, supported accommodation for vulnerable young women
* Training and prevention work that helps create lasting change
Together, we can ensure that nobody has to face domestic abuse alone
