Story
At Midland Langar Seva Society, everything we do is about people — people who feel forgotten, isolated, unsafe, or hungry. Every day, our volunteers work tirelessly to ensure no one is left behind.
But right now, transport is one of our biggest barriers.
A minibus would not just help us travel — it would help us reach hearts, protect lives, and deliver hope.
This minibus will not just be a vehicle — it will be a lifeline.
A Lifeline for Isolated Women (Over 60s)
We support women over 60 who suffer from isolation, anxiety, and loneliness. Many are afraid to leave their homes alone. For some, our weekly group is the only human connection they have all week.
Without safe transport, they stay home — alone.
With a minibus, we can collect and return up to 10 women safely, giving them peace, dignity, and something to look forward to. It supports their mental health, confidence, and wellbeing.
A Safe Route for At-Risk Youth
Some of the young people we support are surrounded by gangs, crime, and unsafe routes. For them, even travelling to the hub can be dangerous.
Without transport, they miss out.
Without support, they are at risk.
A minibus allows us to collect young people from safe locations, giving them access to youth sessions that offer guidance, structure, and a way out of harmful paths.
Feeding Hungry People With Dignity
We provide hot meals to the homeless across multiple towns — including Walsall, West Bromwich and Birmingham City Centre.
Without a suitable vehicle:
• Hot food cannot be transported safely
• Volunteers struggle to carry large volumes
• Meals risk arriving cold or unsafe
A minibus ensures food is cooked, transported, and served properly, protecting dignity and health. For many, this is the only hot meal they will eat that day.
Inclusion for Children With Special Needs
During school holidays, we run projects and trips for children, including those with special needs. Many of these children are often excluded from “normal” experiences due to transport barriers.
A minibus gives them:
• Access
• Inclusion
• Joy
• A sense of belonging
It allows them to take part in trips others take for granted — and to simply feel like children.
How Your Donation Helps
Every single donation has real, immediate impact:
• £20 — Helps cover fuel so we can reach those who need us
• £50 — Funds a weekly youth outing, keeping young people safe and engaged
• £100 — Ensures hot food is cooked, delivered, and served across Walsall and West Bromwich
No amount is too small. Every pound moves us closer to a vehicle that supports multiple projects, across multiple communities, every single week.
Please Support If You Can
This minibus will:
• Reduce loneliness
• Protect vulnerable youth
• Feed hungry people safely
• Include children who are often left out
For many people we support, leaving the house isn’t easy.
For some, it’s scary.
For others, it feels impossible.
At Midland Langar Seva Society, a minibus would mean more than transport — it would mean hope, safety, and dignity.
Together, we can keep our community moving
