Story
On 23rd May 2026, I'll be joining MLSS 10-mile walk Fundraiser in memory of my beloved Nanema, who passed away on 11th March 2026.
Nanema believed that every grain of rice had someone's name on it. Feeding people, nourishing people, making sure no one went without - and honouring her memory means carrying that belief forward.
What makes this more meaningful is that 23rd May would have been her 87th birthday. So I will be walking those 10 miles with her in my heart, celebrating the life she lived and the values she passed on to me.
I'll be raising funds for Midlands Langar Seva Society to help purchase a dedicated minibus - This vehicle will help them reach isolated elderly individuals, provide safe access for vulnerable youth, deliver hot meals with dignity.
No one should go without a meal or without feeling seen. MLSS does this work every single day, rooted in the Sikh principle of Sewa, selfless service, and I am proud to walk in support of them and in honour of the woman who taught me that feeding someone is one of the greatest acts of love there is.
Please donate whatever you can. Every contribution brings MLSS one step closer to supporting those who need it most.
