Our Support Groups and Volunteers can no longer hold street collections to celebrate Moon Bear Day on 8th August or throughout the summer. While we can't take to the streets to raise vital funds & awareness for Animals Asia's crucial work - we're going virtual to try and raise £8,000 instead.

Animals Asia works to end the bear bile trade, which sees over 10,000 bears mainly moon bears but also sun bears and brown bears kept on bile farms across Asia. We have rescued more than 600 bears from the industry since it was established.

After years of cooperation, Animals Asia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vietnam Government to completely End Bear Bile Farming in Vietnam by 2022. This includes rescuing and rehoming approximately 500 bears that remain on farms in Vietnam, where bear bile farming is illegal.

We also work to end the dog & cat meat trade in these countries while promoting good companion animal welfare. Finally we campaign to end the abusive animal practices taking place in zoos, safari parks and entertainment facilities across Asia.
