Story
Move for Mental Health 2026 💙
7 days. 1 community. 1 goal: 1,000 people moving in West Kent.
This Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May), we’re inviting you to do one simple thing: move your body in a way that works for you — and make a donation to support vital local mental health services across West Kent.
No pressure. No perfect plan.
Big or small — every move counts.
Walk, stretch, dance in the kitchen, take the stairs, get outside for 10 minutes… it all matters.
Our promise: Every donation will count as one “move” towards our community goal of 1,000 people taking part.
Campaign closes 30 May 2026.
What to do next (3 quick steps)
1) Donate (and log your move)
Make a donation (from £5 or whatever you can). Then, in the message box, tell us what movement you did — no matter how big or small.
Examples:
“10-minute walk at lunch.”
“Quick stretch between meetings.”
“Park run.”
“Kitchen disco with the kids.”
Your donation = one move added to the total.
2) Tick “Yes” to hear from us
Tick the box to say you’re happy for us to email you — and we’ll send you our Activity Bucket List, packed with simple ideas and inspiration.
You can unsubscribe at any time.
3) Spread the word
Share what you’re doing with friends and family, and follow us on social media for ideas, motivation and real stories throughout the week.
Tag us and use #MoveForMentalHealth so we can cheer you on.
What your donation can do
Your support helps people across West Kent get the help they need, when they need it most.
£15 could provide art materials for a session — paints, sketchbooks, or craft supplies that help someone express what they can’t put into words
£25 could subsidise a counselling session for someone who otherwise couldn’t afford support
£80 could launch a peer mentor session in a new rural area, expanding access to support
£120 could fund a peer mentor training place — turning lived experience into something powerful that helps others
£350 could fund a full six-week early intervention programme for a young person — building confidence, resilience, and the tools to cope with life’s challenges
Every pound raised locally is spent locally, supporting adults and children across West Kent.
Let’s do this — together
A week of movement. A community united.
A shared goal of 1,000 people trying something new.
Thank you for being part of it.
Let’s move for mental health. 💙
