The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileOur teams are working night and day to treat the direct medical complications of malnutrition, as well as constantly preparing therapeutic foods to feed every child. - Mohammed, MSF doctor, Lashkar Gah Afghanistan.
Drought and an economic crisis have left millions struggling to afford enough to eat. Malnutrition is on the rise and millions of people are unable to access even the most basic healthcare.
We need your support to continue providing lifesaving treatment. Please stand with us to ensure the people of Afghanistan are not forgotten.
In five locations across the country, we are treating a record number of patients. Our teams are treating emergency trauma cases, supporting people with chronic conditions and welcoming new life into uncertain times.
In March 2022:
- 1,293 children were diagnosed with measles at Herat regional hospital
- 1,730 babies were delivered in Khost maternity hospital
- 1,528 patients were triaged in Kunduz trauma centre
- 24,101 emergency room consultations were performed at Boost hospital
£10 could provide pain relief for seven patients for one day
£24 can provide life-saving measles vaccinations for 96 children
£38 can pay for a month of lifesaving therapeutic food to treat two severely malnourished children
£76 can pay for a midwife for a day
For the people who come to us for medical care, MSFs services are vital. It is only with the help from supporters like you that we can keep providing all our patients with vital treatments. Your support will fund MSF's work in Afghanistan, as well as supporting our work with Afghan refugees in neighbouring countries. Thank you.
