#TeamMummysStar are delighted to be back at the Great North Run! After a brilliant race last year our team are ready to rise to the challenge and raise funds for our amazing families.

As the only charity in the UK & Ireland dedicated to supporting mums and birthing people diagnosed with cancer in or around their pregnancy, Mummy's Star is a vital part of the cancer community. With over 150 new mums approaching us in 2021, we are eager to ensure we can continue to provide and improve our tailored support services for them and all the incoming families of 2022.

Every day 2 people are diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy or shortly after birth.

The news of a pregnancy or a recent birth is an exciting time for all prospective and existing parents, but it can be cruelly interrupted by the news of a cancer diagnosis; bringing challenges and worry to Mum, family and friends and, in the worst scenarios, leading to the loss of a pregnancy, baby or parent.

That's where Mummy's Star comes in!!

We believe that no one should have to go through this experience alone. We help families to meet others in a similar position, offer small grants to relieve financial burden, offer support to partners and the wider family, promote awareness, and support research into this unique area. Our dedicated team ensure mums and their families have tailored support that is sensitive and specific to their individual needs.
