Story
Over recent years our Easter appeal has meant that lots of Ugandan families have received hens and goats - this has become a highlight in the year for this community.
Hens make such a difference to people who are mainly subsistence farmers - the eggs add nutrition to their diet. The hens we provide are all for egg laying and of course when they have chicks they soon add to the flock bringing more long term support to the families. Hens cost £10 each.
Similarly the goats milk is used to add to their diet, and when kids are born these are shared amongst the community. Goats are £33 each
Bags of poshu can also be purchased - this is the main source of food for the community. Bags of poshu are £14.
If you wish to name your hen or goat please leave a comment in the box with their names. Please also tick the box asking for further information and we will then be able to send you a photo of the recipient with their animal or bag of food.
