HExN is a UK based charity established in 2008 to support the clinical and educational needs of Nepal. Over the years, it has organised more than 100 clinical education meetings, strengthened schools and health institutions across the country, and provided critical assistance during national emergencies such as the 2015 earthquake and the COVID 19 pandemic. To date, HExN’s support to Nepal has exceeded £1 million.

The recent floods in Nepal have caused significant damage and disruption in the Trishuli area, affecting local communities and essential services. Health Exchange Nepal has a long-standing connection with the Trishuli community and has supported schools and healthcare services in this area in the past.

HExN is now responding to the current flood disaster. Through our partners in Nepal, we are delivering urgent relief to affected communities:

• Local chapter of Diabetes Nepal is providing essential supplies to families in the Trishuli region.

• Dhulikhel Hospital is delivering medical care to the Syabrubesi area in the upper flood affected zone.
