Whilst the NHS provides the necessities, our hospital charity funds projects that make the hospital experience a better one for our patients, visitors and staff. All donations are used where they are needed most across our hospitals to support the best possible care for patients. Thank you.

Story

Thanks to donors and fundraisers we have been able to create a bereavement room for families to use next to the delivery unit. This room provides a comfortable atmosphere where parents can mourn their loss in private. Parents who wish to, can stay with their baby for some time using a cuddle cot which cools the baby, and other members of the family are able to meet the baby.

Donations to this Just Giving appeal will continue to support the upkeep of this room, providing the extras, over and above what the NHS must and should provide. Our aim is also to use the funding for staff development, to help support the prevention of baby loss through research and additional equipment, and to support families via the Rainbow Clinic, as appropriate.

With your help we can continue to support even better care for patients.

Thank you.
