Story

Recovery Walk: Cromer to Sheringham – Walking for Community & Change

Together are launching a transformative initiative to build a Recovery Community rooted in lived experience. This project follows on from our Peer Research Project where we have been gathering valuable lived experience insights that are now beginning to support in shaping the future of Norfolk’s drug alcohol and treatment system.

The next step is to create a vibrant, member-led Recovery Community. This space will empower individuals with lived experience to lead change, influence policy, and support one another through peer-led initiatives. Members will have access to safe spaces, resource signposting, and opportunities to connect meaningfully.

It’s important that the Recovery Community supports itself from the start. By investing in this community, we’re enabling people with lived experience to take ownership of their recovery journey and contribute to shaping services that truly reflect their needs.

Your donation will help us:

• Train and support volunteer Recovery Community Champions

• Host inclusive community events and peer support groups

• Ensure the community remains safe, inclusive, and impactful

Together, we can build a recovery movement that’s authentic, empowering, and life changing.
