Story

We are fundraising in partnership with Women's Lawyers Association in Malawi to enable them to build a drop-in law centre and refuge for women and children affected by domestic abuse. Nick Webber Trust have pledged to raise £20,000 to purchase land in the capital, Lilongwe, and construct a basic facility where women can access free legal advice and be offered a safe place to stay until a longer-term option is found.

This Christmas give the gift of safety by helping build this vital law centre and refuge.

£10 would buy a bag of cement

£20 would buy a small solar panel

£50 would buy a washbasin or toilet pan .

These prices are realistic and are for supplies that are needed, but obviously we will use funds allocated to this project in the most sensible way. All funds donated to support this project will be spent on this project. The photo above features women and children that use another building NWT has built to support the community.
