Oldies Club is a volunteer-run charity that rescues and rehomes older dogs in the UK. Our vet bills are our primary expense and we hope by launching this campaign for spring 2023, to raise additional funds to help us through the coming months and enable us to welcome more older dogs into our care. 13 May 2023: So far in May, we have paid out over £12,000 and we're not yet half-way through the month! Our expenditure in recent months has exceeded £9,000 a month too.

We love that you show compassion for the older dogs who come into our care, knowing we will do all we can to look after them in foster and find the best forever homes for them, and that you share our joy when our dogs are adopted. In order for us to keep bringing older dogs in need into our care - and sadly we have a never-ending list of dogs requiring help - we do need to keep the income flowing too and this is where we are asking for your help, please :-)

We set up our Spring Appeal to raise funds to help us continue rescuing and rehoming older dogs and we would so appreciate you making a donation if you can, please. You can donate from £2 via our campaign page, so it's a great opportunity for lots of people to make little* donations to make a big difference to our volunteer work. We know that we have many wonderful dog lovers who support our work and feel as passionate as we do that older dogs deserve to be in safe and loving homes that best meet the needs of each dog. Oldies Club takes in older dogs from many different situations. Some dogs come to us because their person had very sadly become seriously ill, or had passed away. Others need our help because their person had lost their job and was no longer able to provide for their beloved dog, or because the family had lost their home/had to move to accommodation where they were not permitted to have an animal companion. We believe the cost-of-living crisis in the UK continues to exacerbate the situation, meaning more dogs are in need of new homes at a time when charities like Oldies Club are facing increasing financial challenges themselves.
